Abstract

In this study, modeling for determining maximum horizontal tensile strain of each layer depending on variation of Young’s Modulus of asphalt, concrete and lean concrete layer of composite pavement was performed. Structure analysis using Abaqus 6.10 was also conducted in the study. Parameters used for structure analysis were selected through literature review and five parameters of Young’s Modulus were applied to each layer. Besides, maximum horizontal tensile strain of asphalt, concrete, lean concrete layer and base and regression analysis of Young’s Modulus of asphalt, concrete and lean concrete layer were conducted. As a result, Young’s Modulus of asphalt layer had a significant effect on maximum horizontal tensile strain and Young’s Modulus of concrete had effect on maximum horizontal tensile strain of concrete, lean concrete and base layer.
