Abstract

In this study, energy-independent line lighting system was developed in a bid to solve the power supply problem which hinders line lighting, new type of street lighting, from obtaining the access to the market. To that end, a self-energy feeding system was developed and photovoltaic power generation system was adopted as power supply source. To make it efficient, capacitor battery was developed which was classified into the independent type and hybrid type and operation efficiency of each type was compared and analyzed. Based on such analysis, the principle of battery system optimized for operation of energy-independent line lighting system was proposed.
